In the past week, it has become more and more dangerous for both ICE and Border Patrol agents. As RedState covered, an ICE agent was shot in Alvarado, Texas. A planned ambush involving ten individuals who have now been charged with attempted murder. On Monday, in McAllen, Texas, border patrol agents were ambushed by an active shooter wearing tactical gear. Thankfully, local police and federal agents returned fire, killing the shooter.

These attacks have become a pattern. Democrats have publicly attacked ICE agents for protecting their identity by wearing masks. Towards the end of June, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) accused ICE agents of “hiding misbehavior” by covering their faces. The White House Rapid Response team correctly pointed out that ICE agents are currently facing a “500% increase in assaults.”

.@RepJerryNadler accuses the brave men and women of ICE—who put themselves in harm’s way to remove dangerous illegals from our communities—of “hiding misbehavior” by protecting their identities.

ICE agents are now facing a 500% increase in assaults thanks to rhetoric like this.
