Draped in an ivory satin midi slip dress with delicate lace trim and a matching oversized fur coat, she channeled Old Hollywood glam, complete with a sleek, side-parted bob. Kim Kardashian stunned the Paris Couture Week audience in Look 9 of Balenciaga’s Fall 2025 haute couture collection on July 9, according to People. She debuted a figure-hugging beige lingerie-inspired slip dress trimmed with delicate lace, echoing Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic gown from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, beneath an oversized, feather-textured faux mink fur coat draped across her shoulders. On her feet, Kardashian wore satin pointed-toe heels that seamlessly matched the ensemble’s muted tones.
To amplify the homage to Taylor, she adorned herself with over 250 carats of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds — notably, the legendary $374K Mike Todd pendant earrings formerly worn by Taylor, alongside layered diamond necklaces. Kardashian completed the look with a chic, voluminous side-parted bob and polished, minimal makeup. Kardashian embodied Old Hollywood elegance with a modern, couture twist.
Unfortunately, Kardashian’s walk wasn’t giving what she thought it was giving. Fans noticed how Kardashian seemed to amble down the runway. They also criticized the sway in her steps, comparing her to someone who drank too much.
“She looks like me when I’m completely drunk, but I try to walk like a sober person,” one fan commented on Reddit.
“It’s awkward …,” another fan wrote. “She looks nice and all, but her [facial] expressions are a mix between proud and something smells bad, [and] she walks sooo slowly.”
Yet another fan noticed how Kardashian appeared to “struggle” to hold the weight of the coat draped around her shoulders. This may have added to her odd walk.
“She looks like she’s struggling to hold the weight of that jacket whilst balancing on her heels,” they guessed.
“You’d think she would ask Kendall [Jenner] for some tips,” another fan critiqued.
Will this criticism keep Kardashian away from the runway? Chances are, she doesn’t even see what her fans are saying.
