The candid home footage was sound-tracked by the poignant lyrics, “Only you know me, mind and my body, riding with you down this road, we got forever to go, when we get closer and when I hold ya, you make it feel just like home.”
It ends with her singing the sweet words, “I’m ready for what comes next, let’s make a baby” as she gazes down at her bare bump.
They were congratulated by their celebrity pals, with Khloe Kardashian writing, “Congratulations! May God bless you and your beautiful family forever and always, such a stunning announcement.”
John Legend said, “Congratulations! [heart emojis].”
André and Tori first got together in 2016 and the following year they were engaged. Their wedding was a private and intimate ceremony that took place in 2018.
Tori, who is currently on tour with Ed Sheeran, told People: “This year has already been full of highs — getting to perform in stadiums all summer, writing the most personal songs of my career and now getting to start a family with my amazing husband.
“We are just so grateful for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet this little gift from God.”
The baby news marks a dramatic turnaround in Tori’s fortunes.
In the summer of 2023 she was seriously ill with blood clots.
Friends rushed her to Cedars-Sinai hospital where doctors discovered blood clots around several of her vital organs – a situation that sources told TMZ is “really serious.”
She told her followers at the time, “Hi friends, as you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges.
“It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.
“I’m feeling stronger now and hopeful but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover.
“I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses who have been looking after me.”
Tori first found fame on American Idol in 2010 making it through to Hollywood Week.
After signing with Capitol Records, her first major label EP made the top 20 in the US in 2013.
Two years later, her debut album, Unbreakable Smile, was released charting at number two.
Its follow-up, 2018’s Hiding Place won her two Grammys.
Film fans who aren’t familiar with her music might also recognize her voice as Meena from the animated film, Sing.
