() Sigrid McCawley, an attorney representing people suing Jeffrey Epstein’s former accountant one of the last Epstein cases in federal court believes the government is sitting on a “treasure trove” of information regarding the convicted sex offender.

The FBI and the Department of Justice have received criticism from many since stating Sunday that there was no “client list” to disclose, and that his death was a suicide.

“What’s really just astonishing about this recent disclosure from the government is that they know they are sitting on a treasure trove of information, and they’re not turning it over,” McCawley told “Elizabeth Vargas Reports” on Wednesday.

“I’ve worked on these cases for over 10 years now; there’s a plethora of information that the public has not been able to see relating to Epstein and his co-conspirators.”

McCawley added that the information ranges from financial records to other telling information from computers and other items that could help understand how Epstein ran a sex-trafficking scheme for more than two decades without conviction.

She criticized the Trump administration for what she believes is contradictory action to its rhetoric that it would be “an open book” administration dedicated to exposing the truth.

“We heard this rhetoric at the beginning that everything was going to come out,” McCawley said.

“This would be a new administration with a new take on the Epstein scandal. But now what we’re seeing is the exact opposite. They’re walking all of those words back and not standing by them.”
