Let’s face it: Finding time to exercise can be one of the most difficult aspects, especially within a hectic schedule. However, we have a straightforward solution specifically for abs. Luke Jones, a certified personal trainer at HERO Movement, offers a quick six-minute ab workout that delivers results. This workout will leave you feeling the burn throughout the entire day.

If you’re suspicious of a six-minute routine, relax.

According to Luke, “The focus is not just on intensity, but on providing the appropriate type of stimulation. Short workouts can help activate the core, engaging not only the superficial muscles but also the deeper ones related to breathing, posture, and movement. When this system is activated and working together, the benefits extend throughout your day. It builds a subtle form of strength and awareness that remains present, especially through consistent practice.”

Regularly participating in these sessions will assist in developing a more functional core that supports improved breathing, control, and posture. You may even experience a reduction in tension in your pelvic floor and lower back.

“It’s not about chasing soreness—it’s about creating the kind of subtle strength and poise that carries over into everything else,” Luke says.

Are you ready to get those abs into shape? All you need is six minutes—so let’s get started! Begin with 30 seconds of work, 30 seconds of rest. Luke says that provides sufficient time to get a solid workout session in without rushing.

“As you adapt, you can increase the work time or add rounds—but even one pass can be enough to shift how you move and feel,” he adds.

When you increase your work time, you’ll be up to six minutes out of your day for ab training.
