LEEDS, Ala. (WIAT) — A Leeds man is facing child sexual abuse material and drug charges after police executed a search warrant Thursday.
According to the Leeds Police Department, its special investigations unit, special weapons and tactics unit and a state task force focusing on internet crimes against children conducted a search warrant in the 7400 block of Frisco Avenue as part of an investigation.
Jacob Shane Freeze, 33, was arrested while the warrant was being executed. The LPD stated devices belonging to Freeze were seized that included images and videos of child sexual abuse.
Freeze is charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, three counts of dissemination of child sexual abuse material, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Freeze was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on $512,000 bond. Freeze may receive more charges as the investigation progresses.
