ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida’s average gas price has dropped to the lowest in two months, dropping 19 cents per gallon in the last 10 days, according to a news release.
The American Automobile Association (AAA) announced in a news release Monday that the average price of gas in Florida has dropped to $2.94 per gallon, down 14 cents from last week and down 2 cents from a month ago.
The state’s average price of gas per gallon is 58 cents lower than this time last year, AAA said.
“Florida drivers may feel some relief from the recent downturn at the pump, but that break may not last much longer,” AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins said in a statement. “Gas prices in Florida often follow a pattern of falling for about 10 days, then spiking by as much as 20 cents. With oil and gasoline futures climbing again, it’s likely we’ll see upward pressure on retail prices in the coming days.”
Most expensive metro markets according to AAA:
-
West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.10)
-
Gainesville ($3.06)
-

-
Melbourne-Titusville ($2.84)
-
