Bachelor in Paradise finally entered its Golden Era, and though each spirited senior who hit the sand raised Season 10’s spirits, Episode 3’s key ingredient was the one, the only, April Kirkwood.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: From the moment April walked out of the limo carrying a basket of eggs and told The Golden Bachelor‘s Gerry Turner that she grew up on a chicken farm so her eggs are still “very fresh,” it was clear she had iconic sass and magnetic star power. Her witty commentary — from asking “how Gerry likes his wiener” when grilling hot dogs, to her original talent show jokes — kept Golden Bachelor fans laughing week after week. Though her time on the show was cut short, she was spicy, sexy, hilarious, and unafraid to be vulnerable, and her first day in Paradise proved she’s ready to liven up another show.

“I’m a feisty little fairy, and I’m good at flirting. Oh look! I got my inner knees done! They’re reformed,” April told viewers in a charming intro video, before claiming, “We are working it!”

Within minutes of stepping foot on the beach, cameras caught April catching up with Ralph “RJ” Johnson at the bar, telling him she likes that there’s “a little bad boy” in him, calling a shirtless Jeremy Simon “muscles,” and revealing she didn’t bring any underwear with her! She could carry a whole show!

Before we got more prime April moments, Paradise host Jesse Palmer welcomed the new arrivals and broke down the new rules, saying, “It may seem a little bit strange, because we have different generations here on the beach together. But as a pertains to dating, we’re not expecting you to cross over that generational line.”

Age-gap relationship concerns be damned, April piped up to add: “Unless you want to!” And young and old contestants erupted into giggles.

After giddily chasing some iguanas around the resort, April got a personal tour from her mini me, Kat Izzo, and the two basked in the glory of their similar energies. “There was something instantaneous,” April said Kat, another essential Paradise entertainer. “Her and I kind of resonate together.”

As the gal pals bonded over tarot cards and modern-day dating, April got deep and revealed she hadn’t kissed somebody in years since her significant other died. Following an earnest moment of reflection, she got right back to Paradise business and assured us that while she may not understand dating apps, she “had [her] moments in the back seat of cars.” (PS: Anyone who watched the sassy senior reveal that she kissed another woman’s husband and once had her toes sucked shouldn’t be surprised!)

April doesn’t just bring prime humor and attitude to Bachelor in Paradise — she brings the romance, too. The first Golden kiss of Season 10 was between April and (wait for it!) Jack Lencioni! The two shared a smooch in the pool with “a little tongue,” and afterwards, April told producers, “It was everything that I could have dreamt about. I’ve been a very bad girl…”

The life of the party is gorgeous! She’s hilarious! She’s outgoing! And naturally, she’s already in a love triangle ahead of the first rose ceremony! While Jack is smitten with her and appears to have a leg up in the competition, Captain Kim Buike also has his sights set on April. And April might have her sights set on a younger man: Jonathon Johnson.

Before she heads to bed in Episode 3, April playfully tells Jonathon, “I’m the second door to the right if you need me.” GIIIIIIIIRL! When Jonathon ends the episode with approximately zero rose prospects, he fondly considers April and thinks: “In Paradise there’s no age limit. Why not see what could happen?”

With a women-led rose ceremony next week and a teaser that shows April feeling Jonathon’s six-pack and saying, “If I was them, I’d be jumping your bones,” we thankfully haven’t seen the last of this queen’s zingers, scene-stealing moments, and late-in-life love story.

All the Golden Gals — Leslie Fhima, Kathy Swarts, and Natascha Hardee — bring love, light, personality, wisdom, and inspiration and to our screens. But like The Golden Bachelor‘s debut season, Paradise just wouldn’t be nearly as entertaining without April.
