Police: 61-year-old with blood on him ID'ed as assailant in stabbing

Police say Shawn Bradwell Smith was charged in a stabbing after the victim identified him as an attacker.

DOCK JUNCTION, Ga. — Police say a stabbing victim in Dock Junction identified a 61-year-old man as his assailant, leading to his arrest Wednesday.

The Glynn County Police Department says Shawn Bradwell Smith walked away from the scene of the stabbing on Roadway Street. They say Smith had blood on him when he left.

The victim had been stabbed in the neck, and told police Smith did it.

The victim was taken to Southeast Georgia Health System for treatment and is stable.

Smith was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor hand injuries, which police say came from the stabbing. He has been charged with aggravated assault.
