Man sought after two women pepper-sprayed on Sydney train

A man is sought after two women were attacked with pepper spray on a train in Sydney’s north-west last month.

At about 11.30pm on Saturday, June 14, police were called to Lidcombe Railway Station after reports of an assault.

Police were told that two women, both aged 22, were travelling on a train between Circular Quay and Lidcombe stations when they were approached by a man they didn’t know.

After a short conversation, the man allegedly pepper-sprayed the women and moved into another carriage.

The women were treated at Lidcombe before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police have now released images of a man they believe may be able to assist the investigation.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s, 170cm to 175cm tall, with a medium build.

At the time, he was wearing a dark blue cap, black headphones, olive green jacket and dark pants.

He was last seen leaving Parramatta Railway Station shortly before midnight that night.
