Three men suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has opened up an investigation after three men were shot in the city’s Grand Park area early Thursday morning.
Around 2 a.m., JSO Sgt. Scott said officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2500 block of West 25th Street.
When they arrived, Scott said officers found one man shot in the head. Scott noted the man was grazed by a bullet. He was then taken to a local hospital where he is listed in non-life-threatening condition, Scott said.
Within the next hour, Scott said JSO learned that the two other men arrived at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“We believe these incidents to be related, and we’re currently investigating to determine what exactly occurred,” Scott told First Coast News.
JSO believes all three men, aged 19-22 years old, were shot at the same location.
Scott said officers/detectives were talking to “a couple of witnesses” at the scene.
No suspect information was released.
