Theodore Tundidor was pulled over by FWC officers for reckless driving after he left scene of attempted kidnapping.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has released body camera video of the arrest of Theodore Tundidor, the man accused of attempting to kidnap an 18-year-old woman from a smoke shop off SR 206 in St. Augustine.

Officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission initially tried pulling Tundidor over for reckless driving. In the body camera video, an officer can be heard saying Tundidor was speeding in the bike lane on A1A. The officers attempted to pull him over twice before he finally stopped in a condo community off A1A in St. Augustine.

Tundidor can be seen getting out of the Toyota Tacoma he was driving and on the ground without incident. The officers can be heard asking him if he smoked marijuana and said they could smell it. After a search of the truck, officers believed they found more than 20 grams of marijuana.

Officers also found a medical bracelet on Tundidor’s wrist; however, the name on the bracelet was ‘John Walker.’ The registration on the truck also did not match Tundidor’s name.

Deputies with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene shortly after. They had been looking for a gray Toyota Tacoma since that was the truck Tundidor could be seen driving when he attempt to rob the smoke shop and kidnap the employee. Tundidor could be heard on the body camera video saying that he did not know whose truck it was.

Deputies tried to get his fingerprints from a mobile scanner, but it started raining which impacted their ability to use the device. Tundidor was then taken to the St. Johns County Jail where he faces charges from both law enforcement agencies.
