At the direction of President Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi is expected to ask a federal court on Friday to unseal grand jury testimony in the case of disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Trying to quiet the unrelenting calls for more transparency in the case, Trump on Thursday night asked for the release, saying the controversy, a “SCAM perpetuated by Democrats, should end, right now!”

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported new details Thursday night about a 50th birthday letter Epstein received from Trump; the president denied writing the message and quickly threatened to sue the publication.

And later Thursday night, the House Rules Committee approved a nonbinding resolution that calls for the Justice Department to release some information on the Epstein case.

In a Friday morning social media post, Trump asked why Democrats didn’t release the infamous Epstein files. “BECAUSE THEY HAD NOTHING!!!” he insisted.

Trump on Friday will swear in the new Internal Revenue Service commissioner and will hold a signing ceremony for the GENIUS Act, one of the crypto bills passed by the House on Thursday.
