Victoria Beckham is concerned that the ongoing tension within her family is going to ruin one of her most cherished parts of the holiday season.
A source exclusively told Us Weekly that Brooklyn Beckham is still not speaking to his younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz Beckham, in the aftermath of his and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham’s decision to skip his father David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in May.
As a result of the friction, the insider said that Victoria, 51, is “very worried” Brooklyn, 26, won’t be in this year’s family holiday card, which is Victoria’s “favorite thing to do” around the holidays.
Brooklyn, however, believes that “mending fences is what should be important, not the optics of a Christmas card,” per another source.
Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, requested a separate meet-up for David’s birthday in an effort to avoid Romeo, 22, and then-girlfriend Kim Turnbull, whose relationship Brooklyn and Nicola did not support, another source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. David and Victoria denied the couple’s request.
Despite their recent lack of communication, Brooklyn has not been far from Victoria’s mind.
In a Father’s Day post via Instagram last month, Victoria shared photos of all four of her kids and tagged their accounts.
“Happy Father’s Day to the best daddy there is,” she gushed. “You always lead with love, and our four beautiful children are a reflection of that. We all love you so so much!!”
Amid the fraught family drama, Brooklyn has been focused on his marriage.
In June, Us exclusively reported that he and Nicola — who got married in April 2022 — purchased a $16 million home in Beverly Hills’ famous Trousdale Estates neighborhood in an off-market deal.
“This house has nothing to do with family dynamics,” a source explained at the time. “Both Nicola and Brooklyn’s careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for [the MLS’] L.A. Galaxy.”
The insider added, “During that time, he attended school in L.A. for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. L.A. has always felt like home to him.”
Another source told Us in June that Brooklyn’s mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner, has been encouraging him to “take the space” from his family.
According to the insider, Claudia, 70, and the Peltz family have been “critical of the Beckhams” during the recent fallout.
Victoria is “aware that the Peltz family is critical of her,” the source added.
As for a potential reconciliation, the source said last month that “the ball is in Brooklyn’s court if he wants to make up.”
Brooklyn extended a small olive branch last week, sending a birthday message to his sister, Harper, on behalf of himself and Nicola on social media.
“Happy birthday Harper,” Brooklyn wrote via his Instagram Story. “We love u x.”
