Robbie Pardlo – who was a member of the chart-topping R&B/Hip-Hop group City High – has passed away at 46.

The talented musician passed away on Thursday, July 17 while surrounded by friends and family in Willingboro, New Jersey.

No cause of death has been revealed as of yet for the lead singer of the Grammy Award-nominated group as TMZ was the first to report the news.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Pardlo and has yet to hear back.

Pardlo’s grieving family intends on planning the singer’s memorial service and tribute events in the upcoming days and will announce the details to the public soon.

He was in the group from 1999 to 2003 alongside members Claudette Ortiz and Ryan Toby.

Their biggest hit came in 2001 as they released the single What Would You Do? which was produced by Fugees member Wyclef Jean.

The song – which served as a motivational anthem for single parents dealing with poverty – shot up the charts and even hit the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 charts at the time.

It led to the group being nominated for  Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group at the 44th Annual Grammy Award.

The group actually began with Pardlo signing as a solo artist before they added on his high school friend Toby.

In order to break away from similar male duo acts, the two decided on adding on another high school classmate in Ortiz.

The trio went on to release their only full-length album – the self-titled City High – in May 2021.

It was generally well-received among music critics and reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200 at the time.

They also released a single titled Caramel with rapper Eve which reached the top 20 of the Billboard 200.

However, despite early success the group disbanded shortly after with the act ultimately calling it quits in 2003.

After his work with City High, Pardlo did find success as he was a member of R&B quartet First Take who collaborated with massive stars including Whitney Houston and Lil Kim.

The talented singer is survived by his wife, Anika Pardlo and their two children, Lyric and Chord-Andrew Pardlo.
