St-Nicolas church in the city of Barfleur; a woman was found dead behind the church

She was found behind the St-Nicolas church in the city of Barfleur, where she was holidaying.

The woman was reportedly staying with her family in a rented cottage near the city port.

Gendarmerie – French local police units – are now probing her death.

It comes just days after another Brit tourist was killed in France in a road accident while jogging with her husband.

The unnamed 35-year-old woman was running on Avenue Charles-de-Gaulle in Beaune, when a car tragically hit her.

The 35-year-old couldn’t be resuscitated and sadly died at the scene.

In January, a female Brit tragically died in a horror accidental ski crash in France with another UK tourist while on a difficult black slope.

The 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after she reportedly lost control of her skies and crashed into the fellow Brit at the Les Arcs resort.

The unnamed woman is said to have crashed head-on into a 35-year-old man on the black slope of the Aiguille Rouge run, according to French news outlet Le Dauphine.
