90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? follows fan-favorite couples as they navigate married life after saying “I do.” But even after the wedding, many of these couples still face new and unexpected challenges, something fans have seen firsthand with Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda, whose relationship has been nothing short of turbulent.

For longtime viewers, Gino and Jasmine’s ups and downs continued on 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2, where they attempted to salvage their marriage. However, things took a surprising turn when Jasmine proposed the idea of an open marriage. Now, on the latest 90 Day spinoff, fans are watching as the couple live separate lives. Gino has moved on with a new love interest, but she’s not exactly aware of the complicated terms of his separation from Jasmine.

Gino Palazzolo Is Given An Ultimatum About His Open Marriage To Jasmine Pineda

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9 continues to chronicle the rocky relationship between Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda. Now, the couple have decided to live separate lives in Michigan as Jasmine made the decision to move in with Matt Branis, a man she met at a local gym and later expressed interest in pursuing an open marriage with, after she and Gino were no longer intimate.

But, in Episode 2 of the series, it now looks like Gino is finally ready to open his heart again as he heads to Las Vegas to meet up with a woman named Natalie who he had been speaking to over social media. Their first interaction goes smoothly and the two appear to really like one another. Natalie takes him around the city and the two go on date, including an ice bar, and even share a kiss.

However, Gino knows he has to come clean to Natalie about his open marriage with Jasmine if he wants to pursue a relationship with her. Natalie was completely unaware of the arrangement and was visibly shocked when Gino finally explained the situation. Although he insisted the open marriage was Jasmine’s idea, Natalie was left confused—wondering why Gino didn’t just get a divorce instead.

“An open marriage is very different than just telling me your wife moved out or you kicked your wife out. He should have told me from the beginning,” Natalie expressed.

Natalie tells Gino, “You didn’t think that maybe, I should just get a divorce?” Adding that she needed to step away and “digest” the news he just told her. When she asked Gino about divorcing Jasmine, he told her that he “hadn’t pursued” that route yet, but Natalie gave Gino an ultimatum after feeling that she was being “used a pawn” against his wife.

“If you want to see me again, I just need you to get closure, and I need Jasmine to get closure. I think that’s morally correct,” she told him. “It’s very important that you don’t give her an opening, or she doesn’t feel she has an opening.”

“I need Jasmine to know that you moved on … and that there’s just no way she’s coming back, if that’s unclear to her right now,” Natalie added.

However, in his own confessional, Ginoa admitted that he still holds a lot of love for Jasmine because she is still technically, his wife.

Jasmine Expresses Regret On The Concept Of An Open Marriage With Gino

Interestingly, Jasmine appears to be missing Gino in this new season spinoff. As she lives a new life in Michigan with Matt, she continues to think about her marriage to Gino and even wonders if her open marriage concept was a huge mistake.

During a shopping outing with Michelle, the wife of Gino’s cousin, Donna, Jasmine admits her true feelings about Gino. “I’m in a very, like, dark place where I really miss Gino,” she shares, adding that open marriage might have been “a bad idea.”

She also admits to Michelle that she has little to absolutely no interactions with Gino since their open marriage discussion. He’s blocked her on his phone and social media, with Jasmine sharing that the only way she can reach him is through email — and she wasn’t hesitant to share that there’d been a lot of emails.

Michelle gives Jasmine a little insight on Gino, having learned that he went to Las Vegas to meet a woman.

Learning that Gino appeared to move on from her, she tells Michelle, “Loving Gino is the worst thing that ever happened to me. I feel stupid, like, missing him and being so concerned about him. But he doesn’t give a s*** me and he’s just living his best life.”

In a confessional, Jasmine expressed hope that she and Gino could resolve their issues.

Jasmine Was Pregnant With Matt’s Child During The 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2 Reunion

Jasmine and Gino’s journey to fixing their marriage was captured in Season 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, which began filming in March 2024. However, Jasmine would later suggest the idea of an open marriage as Gino refused to be intimate with her. She then introduced Gino to Matt on a FaceTime call, the man that she decided to have an open marriage with.

Both Jasmine and Gino decided to recommit to each other at the end of the season, with Gino, who withheld sex from Jasmine, agreeing to the open concept with Matt as long as the two did not form “a connection.”

The cast were in shock when Jasmine arrived at the Season 2 reunion pregnant, and it wasn’t Gino’s baby. Jasmine and Matt were expecting their first child (Jasmine’s third), with Gino looking utterly embarrassed and bewildered by his estranged wife and her baby bump.

Jasmine and Matt welcomed their daughter, Matilda into the world in March. In an interview with People, the couple shared, “Introducing Matty, our sweet baby girl! She’s already filling our hearts with so much love and joy. We’re beyond grateful for this new chapter in our lives.”

And, although Jasmine appears to be missing Gino on the Season 9 spinoff, she seems to make it clear on Instagram that she and Matt are going strong and raising their daughter together. Maybe Gino might take Natalie’s advice and finally take the steps to officially move on from Jasmine.
