A man wielding a knife met his demise with his own weapon after the individual he had attacked pursued him and seized his knife in a Chelsea subway station on Saturday, as reported by authorities.
A yet-to-be-identified 24-year-old man and his companion engaged in a verbal confrontation with a third man, who brandished a knife at the 14th Street Subway Station just after 7 p.m. on Friday, according to the NYPD.

The armed man slashed the 24-year-old in the lower torso and then ran away through the subway station’s mezzanine level, according to cops.
The two men chased down the slasher, quickly caught up to him, grabbed his knife and one of them stabbed him in the chest, according to sources.

Both the alleged attacker and the 24-year-old were taken to Bellevue Hospital. The initial knife-wielder was declared dead, while the 24-year-old was reported to be in stable condition, police stated.
Two people are in custody but have not been charged.
