When Paddy’s character was a young man, he spent some time in prison. While serving time behind bars, Paddy’s character became the victim of abuse from a guard. After Paddy’s character learns that the guard is living neaby, the show’s most powerful scene followed.

In a series of events that easily could have been turned into an award-winning movie, Paddy initially makes contact with the guard without revealing his identity. Throughout that part of the sequence of events, viewers can see Paddy’s character struggling to speak with the man and accept that the guard didn’t present as the monster he truly was.

After he confronted the guard and the man wanted to talk about what happened, give an explanation, and seek forgiveness, Paddy’s character became overcome with emotion. A truly human moment, the pain that Paddy’s character felt radiated off him thanks to the actor’s performance.
