(NEXSTAR) — Connor Zilisch already made history last week when he became the youngest driver to reach four career wins in the Xfinity Series. The 18-year-old added another victory to the column on Saturday, winning the rain-shortened BetRivers 200 at Delaware’s Dover Motor Speedway.

Zilisch led the pack for a race-leading 77 laps, including the final 35 before rain ended the race on lap 134. He had to relocate the celebration from victory lane to the garage, but it didn’t dampen his success.

With Saturday’s victory in Dover, Zilisch has now recorded eight straight top-five finishes, with no signs of slowing the momentum.

“It’s been awesome,” Zilisch said after his victory. “You know, it’s all credit to JR Motorsports and the cars that we’ve been having at the racetrack. It makes all the drivers’ lives a lot easier when your car handles good and can go fast really easily. So, yeah, big props, my 88 team and the entire shop at JRM, we’ve been really good, all four cars. And the fifth one, when we do run it.”

Zilisch is no stranger to Dover Motor Speedway. He won last year in the ARCA Menards Series race, so it was no surprise to him that he was able to pull out the victory Saturday.

“Feels good to get our fourth win of the year,” he added. “My fourth win of the year, my 88 group’s fifth win of the year. And really cool to get it at a track like Dover, this place is awesome. One of the cooler trophies and I’ve already got one at home, so now I’ve got a big brother for my one at home.”

Zilisch said his experience at Dover last year helped him have a “good feel of the track” and be “more comfortable behind the wheel.”

“I didn’t feel as fast as we did the first time I came around. So, yeah, it was awesome to come back again and get another win here.”

With Saturday’s victory, Zilisch remains 56 points behind Justin Allgaier in the Xfinity Series Standings. Allgaier finished fourth at Dover, behind Aric Almirola and Brandon Jones.

Zilisch will be chasing win number five next week at the Pennzoil 250 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. You can catch that race on The CW Saturday, July 26 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
