Part of the reunion for season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta touched on several topics. One of them involved claims that Shamea Morton was the one who set up Porsha Williams with Simon Guobadia. Both ladies denied the rumor, but a new photo now appears to confirm that it was true.

Regarding Porsha, 44, and Simon, 61, the two met in 2020 while he was still married to Falynn Pina, 36. They tied the knot in 2022, but their divorce was announced in February 2024. 

Following the RHOA season 16 reunion, Monay on X took to the platform to say, “Somebody lying Porsha told Shamea she was the best matchmaker ever #RHOA #RHOAReunion.” Included with the caption was a screenshot of a picture of Porsha and Simon, along with social media comments from when it was first posted.

In the comments, Shamea said, “Up and mutha lovin stuck.” She also added the heart emoji. Porsha then said, “Thank you, bestie! Best matchmaker ever.”

Of course, this resurfacing of the photo and the comments comes after many have criticized Porsha for how her relationship with Simon began. Notably, Falynn was also a cast member on RHOA when they met, and Porsha even visited their shared home during an episode of the show. 

Still, Porsha has maintained in recent years that she and Falynn were never really friends. Fans will recall that RHOA newbie Kelli Ferrell even asked Porsha about stealing “that lady’s husband” in one of the first episodes of the new season, which shows how this has cast a dark shadow over Porsha’s life. Some have even alleged that Porsha left the show when she did to avoid accountability. 

As for Shamea, the idea of her setting up Porsha and Simon has also sparked some ill will among fans. This is partly because Simon was married to a former co-star, and also because, if the story is true, she lied at the reunion.
