S.C. teen expressed support for ISIS, obtained plans to make explosive device, SLED says

ALLENDALE, S.C. () – Two suspects wanted in connection with a murder that occurred at Hay Street on Saturday, July 19 have been arrested, the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

In a press release posted to Facebook, Tyrese Lofton and Javon Odoms were taken into custody without incident on July 22.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) assisted in the case.

“We are truly grateful to SLED and DNR for answering the call and for working side by side with our deputies throughout this investigation. Most importantly, we thank the people of Allendale County who stepped forward with information and remained vigilant—your voices helped bring justice one step closer.”

According to the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office, further details about the investigation “will be released as appropriate.”
