BLUFFTON, S.C. () — The expectations are extremely high for the Bluffton Bobcats this year. Coach Hayden Gregory’s offense received rave reviews from his peers.

The Bobcats return one of the best quarterback-receiver combos in the Palmetto State: Aedan McCarthy and Carnell Warren.

Last year, McCarthy threw for 2,524 yards and 29 touchdowns. The senior quarterback added another 623 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

As for Warren, he grabbed 59 balls for 846 yards and 14 touchdowns.

“Instead of worrying about teaching the guy the system, you’re worrying about him mastering the system,” head coach Hayden Gregory said. “Last year, our expectation for him was here. But now it’s here.”

“Aedan and I have been throwing the ball with each other for a long time,” Warren said. “So with him coming back, the connection will never break. So that’s like it’s guaranteed a touchdown every time he throws me the ball this year, for sure.”

The Bobcats should be ranked in the top 10 in the Class AAAA preseason rankings come out. They open the season Aug. 22 on the road at Whale Branch.
