JASON MOMOA SAYS SON NAKOA GOT DUNE: PART THREE ROLE 'ALL ON HIS OWN'

Jason Momoa is one proud dad. The Aquaman star recently revealed that his 16-year-old son, Nakoa-Wolf, scored a role in Dune: Part 3 completely on his own.

“He did it on his own. I don’t want to help him, and he’s done it all on his own, and good for him,” Momoa said to Extra in a recent interview. “A rude awakening is what he’s in for,” he joked, teasing his son’s new entry into the world of work. “He’s into the workforce for the first time. It’s going to be good.”

For Momoa, watching Nakoa-Wolf step  into the spotlight has been a full-circle moment.

“You want your children to be better than you, and I really, actually believe he is,” he shared. “I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age. There’s no way I could sit in a room with Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on Baywatch at 19. He’s 16 and holding s— down with Denis Villeneuve.”

The Minecraft Movie star, who shares Nakoa-Wolf and daughter Lola, 18, with ex-wife Lisa Bonet, says the confidence his son brings to the table is no accident.

“We raised him beautiful[ly]. We raised our children … being loved and being confident in themselves. That is what he is. He’s very confident.”

Despite their divorce in early 2024, Momoa and Bonet have made co-parenting a priority, continuing to show up for their children in meaningful ways. Just last week at the Chief of War premiere in Hawaii, Momoa was flanked by his kids and girlfriend Adria Arjona, rocking custom “family capes” and fully leaning into the moment.

And while family game night may not make the headlines like a movie premiere does, Momoa says that’s where the real competition lies.

“There are a couple of board games and card games that get me going with my kids,” he told People Magazine in an interview. “But for a while now, my son’s been really beating me, and he loves just rubbing it in my face.” Looks like the next generation of Momoas isn’t just stepping up—they’re already winning.
