Seven people have now been charged with a disgusting sexual abuse case in Alabama in which children were raped and tortured in an underground bunker.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced three new arrests, including two women, on Wednesday, WBRC reported.

As CrimeOnline reported, the sheriff’s office began investigating the case in early February, initially arrested William McElroy. A second suspect, Dalton Terrell, 21, was charged in connection with the case in late April — after already being arrested for allegedly paying adults for sexual access to their children, although it’s unclear if that case is related to the underground bunker.

Days after Terrell’s arrest, Andres Trejo-Velazquez was also charged. A fourth man, 23-year-old Timothy St. John,  was indicted and arrested on Tuesday, WBRC said.

Terrell and McElroy are charged with sodomy and rape, while McElroy is also charged with kidnapping. Terrell, Trejo-Velazquez, and McElroy are charged also with human trafficking.

St. John was charged with two counts of first-degree rape, four counts of sodomy, four counts of human trafficking, three counts of kidnapping, one count of bestiality, and one count of cruelty to animals, WBMA reported.

The latest arrestees were identified as Sara Louise Terrell, Rickey Terrell, and Rebecca Cecile Brewer, according to WBRC. Sara Terrell was charged with sexual torture/abuse and sexual abuse of a child under 12. Rickey Terrell has been charged with first degree rape, and Brewer was hit with eight counts of human trafficking, eight counts of kidnapping, and three counts of sexual torture.

Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade said the traffickers were making up to $1,000 a night and that investigators believe the abuse began in 2022.

Assistant District Attorney Bryan Jones previously said six children were drugged and taken to the underground bunker in Brent, where they were sexually abused. The victims ranged in age from 3 to 10.

“I know God’s forgiveness is boundless, but if there is a limit, we reached it,” said Wade.

Wade also said that more charges are possible as investigators identify more victims.
