An Arkansas woman who works as a high school science teacher was accused of domestic violence against her boyfriend.

According to an incident report obtained by local ABC and NBC affiliate KAIT, 43-year-old Stephanie Woods was having an argument with her 37-year-old boyfriend on Monday that escalated. Police reportedly said that they responded to a call from a home in Paragould, Arkansas, at around 4:30 a.m. that morning and found the couple, who had apparently been fighting about Woods’ conversations about “other men.”

Paragould Police Officer Keaton Massey was the responding officer who wrote the incident report. KAIT reported that he stated that Woods “picked up an earring” and “stabbed” her boyfriend in the neck, on the right side, below his ear. He reportedly told police that the stud of the earring broke off and got stuck in his neck.

The boyfriend refused medical attention. He told police that he and Woods started arguing because she was “talking about other men.”

Woods claimed to police that she “was trying to put the earrings in his mouth during the argument.”

Police said they arrested Woods at the scene on suspicion of domestic battery. She was booked into the Greene County Detention Center and posted $5,000 bond that evening, according to KAIT.

KAIT reported that Woods is currently listed as a science teacher at Greene County Tech High School in Paragould.
