SAN DIEGO — From web-slingers to pocket monsters, trading cards took over Comic-Conwith Spider-Man making a bold leap into “Magic: The Gathering.”

This year, trading card games drew a huge crowd of longtime players, collectors and curious newcomers.

One of the biggest standouts? Spider-Man is swinging into the world of trading cards.

“Magic: The Gathering” debuted exclusive content that blends its classic gameplay with over 60 years of Spidey storytelling.

From Peter Parker to Miles Morales, web-slinging heroes are crawling into booster packs and landing on game tables everywhere.

Fans could even step inside the Daily Bugle for a hands-on experience, complete with themed photo ops and free welcome decks to help beginners learn the ropes.

Pokémon also made its mark with a massive Poké Ball suspended high above the show floor, attracting plenty of attention.

Inside the booth, fans experienced a nostalgia-fueled Mega Evolution walkthrough that brought iconic characters back to life in a fresh, interactive format.

“I watched it every day as a kid, so I thought it was cool there’s a whole setup just for Pokémon,” said longtime fan Gabrielle Reynolds.

Another blast from the past making a surprise appearance was “OverPower” a trading card game that originally debuted in the ’90s.

“It rang some bells from when I was younger,” said attendee Benjamin Saucedo. “The characters are different now, so it looks like they’re updating it.”

Saucedo snagged some free cards with his son and said he’s hoping to pass the hobby along.

“I want to relive it, relearn it, and maybe get the kid involved,” he said.
