JSO responded at around 3 a.m. Sunday, in the area of Gate Parkway West when they found an adult in his mid-20s dead.

2 teens injured in Jacksonville Westside shooting

The JSO Robbery and Violent Crime Unit responded just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Woodstock Park, located around West Beaver Street, where they found two teenagers suffering from gunshot injuries.

One teen had a gunshot injury in his upper right arm, while the other had one to his right hand.

Officers say the two were approached by two other people wearing hooded sweatshirts and had on masks covering their faces, who asked for their backpacks.

After the teens gave their backpacks away, they started to run until the suspects fired their guns at them, JSO says.

The two teens were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be released sometime Sunday morning.

Crime Detectives are looking for any physical evidence left at the scene.
