SAN DIEGO — The cast of Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” felt the fan love at San Diego Comic-Con.

Maia Kealoha, Tia Carrere and Sydney Elizebeth Agudong spoke with On The Red Carpet from inside the “Lilo & Stitch” block party pop-up, where fans could snap photos, enjoy treats and celebrate the beloved animated classic turned live-action blockbuster.

“It just feels so amazing,” said Maia Kealoha, who stars as Lilo in the live-action remake. “It’s bringing Ohanas to the movie theaters to watch other movies and also watch our movie,” she said. “We couldn’t have done it without their support.”

Tia Carrere, who appeared in the original animated classic and now returns in the live-action adaptation, shared her excitement about the film’s impact.

“Yes, our little blue friend is a billionaire,” she said with a laugh, referencing the film hitting its billion-dollar global box office milestone.

Agudong, who takes on the role of Nani, was grateful for the support too. “This is rad. And seeing all the support around here-thank you guys!” she said to fans.

“It is something to celebrate, that these stories continue and that another generation can enjoy it,” Carrere added. “I love that I get to leave my fingerprints on the first Nani and to contribute to the second Nani.”
