SAN DIEGO — A cosmic Marvel villain has touched down on earth courtesy of cosplay magic.

Cosplay continues to be a major draw at conventions around the world, and this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was no exception.

The 2025 event featured some of the biggest and most elaborate costumes yet, with fans showing off characters from “Star Wars,” “Marvel,” anime, and classic cartoons across the convention floor.

One standout captured plenty of attention, a towering Galactus cosplayer who roamed the show floor, turning heads with the larger-than-life design.

Other familiar faces from the “Fantastic Four” universe include Silver Surfer and Doctor Doom.

Galactus is also making waves on screen. The cosmic villain appears in the newest “Fantastic Four” film, where he is portrayed by Ralph Ineson.

We spoke with Ineson and the cast about taking on the iconic showdown and how he transformed into the planet-devouring Marvel character. Check out the “Fantastic Four” On The Red Carpet special. Marvel Studios’ “Fantastic Four: First Steps” is in theaters now.

Celebrity encounters are also part of the fun, and at Comic-Con, you never know who you’ll bump into.

San Diego Comic-Con features scheduled meet-and-greets, exclusive panels, and a wide range of booths catering to collectors and pop culture fans.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Marvel Studios and this ABC station.
