The second season of The Valley saw Jax Taylor going to rehab for 30 days for his mental health, while Brittany Cartwright took the steps to proceed with a divorce. Former couple Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei’s separation was anything but pretty, while Danny Booko got accused of having a drinking problem.

Meanwhile, several friendships took a turn for the worse, including that of Kristen Doute and Janet Caperna, after Kristen accused Janet’s husband of going out without his wedding ring.

The Season 2 finale of The Valley ended with Michelle throwing a so-called “zen party,” but it was anything but tranquil. As the entire cast gathered, emotions ran high and tensions came to a head, leaving the group more divided than ever.

Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright’s Relationship Remained Strained

From sending rage-filled texts while in rehab and being financially irresponsible to spying on his estranged wife, Jax Taylor gave Brittany Cartwright plenty of reasons to finally take matters into her own hands. On The Valley Season 2, she began the emotional process of filing for divorce.

In the final episode, Jax and Brittany sat down for a one-on-one conversation about their divorce. But, as fans have seen all season long, the two can’t seem to talk without it spiraling into an argument, once again leaving nothing resolved.

When Brittany asked Jax if he would sign the divorce papers, he shared that he was going to “wait until the very last day to sign.”

Despite their ongoing tension, Jax shared with Jesse Lally that he wanted Brittany “to grow and I want her to be happy and all that.” When Jesse suggested that there would be a day in time that he would find that special someone, Jax said, “I don’t see myself falling in love again.”

Danny Booko And Nia Sanchez Booko Continued To Face Allegations About Danny’s Drinking Habits

Season 2 also heavily focused on allegations that Danny Booko becomes overly handsy with women when he drinks. One incident involved him, Jasmine Goode, and her girlfriend Melissa Marie. However, after issuing an apology, things appeared to settle down, with Jasmine even helping the Bookos find a new home.

Danny’s relationship with Jason Caperna slowly deteriorated as Jason sided with his wife, Janet, regarding concerns about Danny’s drinking. During the cast trip to Hawaii, Janet used the term “sexual assault,” a move that only deepened the rift between the former friends.

At Michelle’s “zen party,'” Jax unexpectedly confronted Danny about the allegations, catching many off guard. “I’m not saying you’re not a great father, but you’re a terrible drunk,” Jax told him. He also expressed frustration with the Bookos for living in what he called a “fairytale world,” urging them to be more authentic.

However, coming from Jax, his anger seemed more rooted in disbelief, or even jealousy, that a couple could actually have a solid relationship.

When the two were separated, Luke Broderick sided with Danny, sharing that one incident shouldn’t define him. “Exactly. And that’s what keeps being brought up over and over and over is one single moment,” Danny then added.

As for Nia, her relationship with Janet also became strained after Janet continued to call out Danny’s behavior, further escalating tensions. Although Janet eventually offered an apology, Nia didn’t find it sincere, and the two ultimately agreed to take a break from their friendship.

After filming ended, Nia and Danny welcomed their fourth child, reaching their goal of having “four under four.” They named their daughter, Adelaide, who was born in June.

Janet And Kristen End Their Friendship

At the “zen party,” Janet and Kristen butted heads, and the confrontation led nowhere. Their friendship seemed beyond repair as tensions continued to simmer throughout the season. Kristen remained loyal to the Bookos, but when she shared a rumor that Jason had taken off his wedding ring while out with his wife, it only escalated the conflict between them.

In a confessional, Janet shared, “Part of me wants to say I really regret giving her any effort. And then the other half of me is happy that I did because now I can walk away and feel like I gave it my all.”

However, Kristen had bigger priorities as the season also followed her and Luke on their journey to have a baby. While an emotional one, the couple welcomed a daughter named Kaia Lilly in June.

Michelle And Jesse End On A Positive Note

Before her party, Michelle goes over to Jesse’s house to see if there is a way the two can finally peacefully co-parent their daughter. Although Jesse continued to believe that her boyfriend, Aaron Nosler, was the man who she cheated on him with, he finally put that all aside. Jesse told Michelle he was “tired” of their ongoing tension and even took “accountability” for their failed marriage.

During the party, as Michelle handed out crystals with affirmations to each cast member, she shared that if she and Jesse were able to find a resolution, she hoped the rest of the group could too.

Zack Wickham Calls Out Brittany For Not Having His Back

Zack also sided with Kristen in regard to how Janet was stirring the pot this entire season. However, he was upset that his bestie, Brittany, with whom he had known since their days in Kentucky, continued to stick up for Janet. In the last episode, Zack took all of those frustrations out at Brittany. He was later seen discussing the events with boyfriend, Benji Quach, “Nobody understands my feelings, like not even my best friend. I have literally nobody that cares.”

Jasmine Goode Has Plans To Propose To Melissa Marie

As Jasmine watched multiple friends feud at the party, she shared, “There’s not enough crystals in the world to heal anything in this group right now.”

But on a lighter note, she revealed that she was going to propose to Melissa. “We’re going to the Philippines or Australia. It’s gonna happen next month, so I’m really excited,” she gushed.

Of course, all of these friendship fallouts and relationship issues will be discussed during the three-part reunion. Part one of the Season 2 reunion will be airing on Tuesday, July 29th, on Bravo.
