Khloé Kardashian is keeping it honest when it comes to the ups and downs of co-parenting with ex-Tristan Thompson.

On a recent episode of her podcast Khloe in Wonder Land, the 41-year-old Good American co-founder reflected on a moment of tension with Thompson, 34, over their seven-year-old daughter True’s outfit. The former couple also share two-year-old son Tatum.

Kardashian admitted that while she and Thompson do their best to co-parent smoothly, there are times when they don’t always see eye to eye. One of those moments came when Thompson raised a concern about True’s clothing.

“Like which Tristan’s not wrong, but he’s like, don’t you think those shorts are too short on her?” Kardashian revealed on the episode.

Kardashian continued, “And I’m like, you want to almost be like, ‘Yeah, she’s my kid,’ but it’s our kid. But you just want to have that ownership. But I’m like, ‘Yes, they’re short, but we’re just hanging out at the house pool,’ because I will send pictures to him or whatever.”

The reality star shared that the incident sparked an internal emotional struggle, one that many co-parents might relate to.

“You still want to let your co-parent be the parent as much as they want to. And you also have to give them grace, give yourself grace,” Kardashian explained.

Even though her first reaction was defensiveness, Kardashian emphasized the importance of understanding and communication when it comes to co-parenting dynamics.

“Yes, the shorts are short, but we’re at home lounging. So let me explain the context of those photos,” she said. “So sometimes I do get defensive internally and I have to remind myself, no, this is good.”

She added, “And that is an emotional battle I have between myself. I can’t be like, ‘No, this is my kid.’ I have to allow Tristan to be the dad too.”

Throughout the episode, Kardashian stressed the need to find emotional balance when co-raising children with an ex. While she acknowledged the challenges, her comments highlighted a clear desire to foster a respectful and collaborative parenting relationship, especially for the sake of their children.

As her podcast continues to offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her personal life, Khloe in Wonder Land is quickly becoming a space where candid, real-life parenting truths take center stage.
