Exclusive: A key witness in a deadly Adelaide shooting has told 9News she had been involved in a dispute with the victim, but says “nobody was supposed to die”.

Emma Pearce is an occupant of the Munno Para West home where Troy Jacka, 53, died on Saturday night. Police say he was involved in a scuffle with another man when a gun in his hands went off.

Pearce says she had been feuding with the victim since breaking up with his son Jayden. She also claims her home was smashed up earlier on Saturday by unknown perpetrators.

“My whole house was destroyed,” she told 9News.

“My son’s room was smashed up. I don’t have [a] window in my house. My doors were kicked in. I have no locks.

“And I had $1400 stolen from me.”

Hours later, she was allegedly involved in a fight with Jacka and others at the Smithfield Hotel, which she claims led to Jacka coming to her home.

“There was a car that drove straight through my fence and a shotgun pointed straight at me,” she said.

“I froze for a second. Everyone was screaming around me.”

She said she ran to the laundry to hide.

Terrifying video has emerged of a woman screaming “he’s got a gun”, moments before a shot rang out at the home.

“I heard screaming and I went out to my ex-boyfriend’s dad dead in my driveway,” Pearce said.

She said she doesn’t know how the gun went off.

“No one was supposed to die that night. There was no intentions of anyone dying that night,” she said.

Police are investigating, but have not laid any charges in relation to Jacka’s death.
