A MAN has been charged with murder after a couple were killed in front of their children while hiking.
Clinton and Cristen Brink’s bodies were found on a trail in Devil’s Den Park located in rural Arkansas on July 26.
This sparked a manhunt for their killer, and cops arrested a suspect on July 30.
James Andrew McGann, 28, was snared at a barbers shop in Springdale – around 33 miles from Devil’s Den Park.
He has been charged with two counts of capital murder, according to Arkansas State Police.
McGann was arrested just days after cops released a sketch of what they believed the couple’s killer looked like.
Cops are yet to reveal a motive behind the killings.
McGann could face life in prison or the death penalty if convicted of capital murder
Cops revealed McGann had just moved to the Arkansas area from Oklahoma before the killings.
The Brinks had also recently moved to Grand Prairie, Arkansas, from South Dakota.
Their children were not harmed in the attack, and they reported what had happened to staffers in a visitor center.
They said one of their parents had possibly been stabbed, according to CNN.
Cops launched a probe and provided an outline about the suspect and his attire.
They believed he was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, and dark baseball cap and sunglasses.
He was also wearing fingerless gloves and carrying a black backpack.
Cops believed his car was a Mazda that had its license plate covered with either duct or electrical tape.
They believed he left the park via the state’s Highway 170 or 220.
Devil’s Den Park is known for its caves and police said the terrain is rugged.
