The bad guys are teaming up with some bad girls in The Bad Guys 2, the animated sequel opening in theaters this weekend.
The Bad Guys 2, the follow-up to the 2022 animated children’s film, is directed by Pierre Perifel, with co-direction by JP Sans, and the screenplay by Yoni Brenner and Etan Cohen. In this installment, after serving time in prison, the infamous group of bad guys—comprised of talking animals like a wolf, shark, snake, and spider—try to blend back into society. However, their attempt at a normal life is short-lived when they encounter a new crew of bad girls and get pulled back into their old heist tricks.
The cast sees the return of voice actors Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Zazie Beetz, Richard Ayoade, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein. Joining the returning voices are Danielle Brooks, Maria Bakalova, and Natasha Lyonne, who lend their talent to the new female characters.

For now, the new The Bad Guys 2 movie will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, August 1. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. The Bad Guys 2 is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is The Bad Guys 2 movie streaming on Disney+?
The Bad Guys 2 is not streaming on Disney+, and will not be on Disney+ any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Universal Pictures release and not a Disney movie. Not every animated movie is a Disney movie! Almost all Universal movies go to the NBCUniversal streaming platform, Peacock. If you want to watch The Bad Guys 2 movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Peacock.
Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $10.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $16.99/month.
You can save a bit by subscribing to one of Peacock’s annual plans, which give you 12 months for the price of 10. These cost either $109.99 with ads or $169.99 without ads.
Is The Bad Guys 2 movie streaming on Peacock?
The Bad Guys 2 is not yet streaming on Peacock. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see The Bad Guys 2 streaming on Peacock eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another Universal/Dreamworks release, Dog Man, began streaming on Peacock on May 30, which was about four months after the movie opened in theaters, and about three months after the film released on digital.
If The Bad Guys 2 follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital by early September 2025, and streaming on Peacock around early November 2025.
Is The Bad Guys 2 movie streaming on Netflix?
The Bad Guys 2 is not streaming on Netflix right now, but will likely stream on Netflix after four months after it streams on Peacock, as part of Universal’s deal with Netflix that sends Universal/Dreamworks animated movies to Netflix for a limited period. If our prediction for the Peacock release of The Bad Guys 2 is correct, then you might see The Bad Guys 2 streaming on Netflix around March 2026.
