JACKSONVILLE, Fla. () — The Jaguars concluded their seventh team practice as they get ready for tomorrow’s scrimmage, which will be open to fans.
Thursday was a short practice, as the team was only on the field for about an hour and a half.
Of course, most of the eyes were on Travis Hunter. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner donned a white jersey, which means he practiced mostly with the defense. Although, he did work on wide receiver releases during the period the media was allowed to shoot.
Offensive Coordinator Grant Udinski spoke with the media about the rookie’s offensive development and expectations in Friday’s scrimmage.
“What we want to see is just that continued improvement,” Udinski said. “I don’t think that there’s anything specific that we would say we need to see tomorrow. We have time to continue to work and progress. I think it’s just a continued progression of schematic understanding, the technique, the chemistry with [quarterback] Trevor [Lawerence] and the rest of the guys that we want to see on that.”
Hunter will take part in the team’s scrimmage tomorrow.
