Kelarnie Whalen is a recruitment consultant and a contestant on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025. The Canberra native first made muffins with her mother when she was a child and then took over the kitchen. She is the baker in her family and in charge of the sweet treats at any gathering.
Originally from Canberra, Kelarnie now lives in Brisbane with her four best friends who get to try out all her new creations. She has learnt many baking skills and tips from TikTok and social media. Not afraid of out-there flavours, Kelarnie loves experimenting with interesting combinations and new recipes.

Kelarnie Whalen, 22, is a contestant on Season 8 of The Great Australian Bake Off, hosted by Natalie Tran and Tom Walker, and judged by Rachel Khoo and Darren Purchese. She revealed the news on Instagram: “Hi. So I did something crazy and applied for @bakeoffau last year and after months of stressing, baking and of course eating copious amounts of batters, doughs and crusts, I flew to Sydney and we filmed the show.
“It was a crazy experience but I’m excited to share that it airs on the 29th of July. I’m nervous but I think you’ll all enjoy watching me freak out on television in my baker fit lol. you can watch on @foxtel @binge.”
