LINCOLNTON, Ga. () Southern Fox Winery is a place where you can have a glass of wine, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

For this episode of “Your Hometown Road Trip” the team stopped in to speak with owner Sarah Keebler about what her business is all about.

What’s this place all about?

“We opened back in November of 2024, we’re just starting out on our own wine. We planted grapes back in March and we’re just getting our foot in the door for becoming a Georgia farm winery.”

So what are the types of things people can do out here?

“We have a couple different options, we have wine tastings, you can get a flight of six different wines, try a bunch, or you can get a glass of wine, a bottle of wine, and then we do have beer options for those that don’t like wine. So, you can always bring your husband along, or whichever one likes the wine. We have options for everyone.”

Who runs this place?

“Me and my husband, we’ve been married for about three or four years now, and then we started this. We bought it back, when we first got married, and we’ve been working our way to build the winery, it was just one step at a time.”

So, what’s this journey been like?

“Whenever you start a company, there’s always learning curves and stuff, but we’ve had a great time just meeting our neighbors, and having a lot of community support, and then just learning about Georgia farm wineries. There’s so much umbrellaed under that term. So it’s just a lot of learning.”

What’s the community been saying about you?

“We’ve gotten a great reaction. Our opening day we had about 600 to 700 people come out and we sold out the grand opening, and so ever since then we’ve still had a really good turnout. Our plant day, we invited the community out to plant a vine, and everyone that helped plant a vine got a little plaque with their name on it, next to the vine.”

Anything thing you want to say to all the people who have supported ya’ll?

“I greatly appreciate everyone that came out already, and just know whenever you do come out, we have thought about you and we can not wait for you to come out and enjoy our winery.”
