The Lake Mary Little League All-Star baseball team advances to the Southeast Regional semifinals after a dominant victory on Friday night in Warner Robins, Georgia.
The All-Stars defeated Jefferson County (WV) 10-0 in 5 innings. Lake Mary started strong, scoring three runs in the first inning.
A two-run double from DJ Mieses highlighted the frame. Solid pitching, supportive defense, aggressive baserunning, and clutch hits were the name of the rest of Lake Mary’s game.
Major Hohman’s triple in the 5th drove in Lake Mary’s final run. The All-Stars remain in the winner’s bracket and have Saturday off.
They play again Sunday at 2 p.m. against the winner of South Carolina/Alabama.
Two more victories in Georgia and Lake Mary will advance to the Little League World Series for the second year in a row.
