Charlamagne tha God shared a soft endorsement for Jon Stewart in an interview set to be published Saturday after discouraging former Vice President Kamala Harris from launching another White House bid in 2028.

“I would love to see Jon Stewart run in 2028,” Charlamagne told Fox News’s Lara Trump.

“If we’re talking about like a change agent coming from the outside that’s really going to shake things up and somebody that I feel like can speak to, you know, all people, plus we actually, he’s a celebrity who actually knows what they’re talking about,” he added.

Charlamagne interviewed Harris on the campaign trail last year and said she revived a “dead” campaign after former President Biden dropped out of the race. However, he said President Trump just resonated better with voters.

He said Stewart, a champion for first responders and veterans, could resonate with the country’s diverse population in 2028.

“We’ve seen him get legislation and stuff, you know, passed before, like, we know where his heart is, he’d be somebody I’d like to see really get in the race and disrupt things in 2028,” Charlamagne told Lara Trump.

“Maybe a Jon Stewart-[Stephen] Colbert ticket, because, you know, Colbert’s not going to have a job,” he added.

Last month, CBS announced Colbert’s show would end after a 32-year run. The host has been a longtime critic of the president, even railing against his network’s $16 million settlement with Trump.

Stewart has similarly slammed the Trump agenda over the past few months and has openly called for retaliation against the president’s policies.
