Lilly broke her silence on Ethan’s new romance with Ariana in an emotional essay in The Cut in December, where she got candid about the ‘public downfall of her marriage.’
She recalled moving both herself and her then two-month-old baby boy to London while Ethan filmed Wicked – before he left her for Ariana after they met on set.
Lilly further reflected on how she never expected to get a divorce after tying the knot with her high school sweetheart – but emphasized both she and her ex focus to positively co-parent their son.
She expressed there are ‘days when I can’t escape the promotion of a movie associated with the saddest days of my life are darker’ as she while trying to ‘accept the sudden public downfall of my marriage.’

Years after their initial meeting, they reconnected in 2024 before getting engaged and then married in late September 2024 in what sources described as a ‘whirlwind’ romance.
‘It’s been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana’s close friends hoped she would get married,’ an insider said.
‘Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He’s a great guy.’
The source added: ‘He’s charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She’s an old soul.’
Last month Lana passionately kissed Jeremy onstage while performing in Cardiff as she stopped mid-performance to run up to her husband, who was standing backstage.
In the middle of serenading both him and her audience with her song Stars Fell on Alabama at Principality Stadium, she got visibly emotional and stopped singing before walking to the side of the stage to kiss him.
