Man killed, woman hospitalized after shooting at St. Marys apartment complex

The St. Marys Police Department said no charges have been filed as the shooting remains under investigation.

ST. MARYS, Ga. — A Yulee man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a double shooting at an apartment complex in Camden County Saturday evening, according to the St. Marys Police Department.

Police said at 6:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Wellington Way Apartments off Winding Road following reports of shots fired. Officers located two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, identified as 23-year-old Jadeon Andredeshawn Wilson, was taken to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Camden Campus, where he was pronounced dead. 

The other victim, identified as 23-year-old Jhainesia Keniya Glover, was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital, where police say she is in non-life-threatening condition.

Police said 23-year-old Michael Anthony Massey was taken into custody for questioning following the shooting. Investigators said Massey was arrested on an unrelated warrant and taken to the Camden County Jail. 

Right now, no charges have been filed as the shooting remains under investigation.

The Kingsland Police Department and Camden County Sheriff’s Office assisted during the incident.
