1 teen dead, 3 injured in shooting on Deans Bridge Road at Meadowbrook

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Richmond County deputies investigating a deadly shooting in the parking lot of Advanced Auto Parts on Deans Bridge Road at Meadowbrook Drive.

Investigators say four teenagers were shot and multiple suspects fled on foot. Several suspects, also teenagers, are currently in custody.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen confirms that one victim has died. 14-year-old Deandre Howell of Augusta was shot at least one time and pronounced dead on the scene 6:05 p.m. 

Another victim is currently listed in critical condition.

Richmond County K9 teams and S.W.A.T. Team were called into to assist with a search for suspects in the Meadowbrook neighborhood. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team also assisted with the search.
