Chicago Lollapalooza 2025: Sabrina Carpenter headlines final night of Grant Park live music festival; Olivia Rodrigo sets records

CHICAGO (WLS) — Another year of Lollapalooza in Chicago is now coming to a close as massive crowds make an exit down Columbus Avenue on Sunday night.

The weather was quite nice all weekend, and it was certainly another record-setting crowd on Sunday, with headliner Sabrina Carpenter putting a bow on this festival.

“It’s amazing here. I love it so much. I love the city,” said Deer Park resident Olivia Koroviles.

Large crowds took in more than 170 artists this weekend in Grant Park.

“It’s insane. So fun, but so many people,” said Maya, who is visiting from California. “I keep telling him I want to move to the city now it’s so welcoming you want to be here all the time never want to leave.”

Fans say the diversity that comes with this festival is always special as many traveled in from different states and countries.

“Crazy. Very different people from everywhere in the world. A lot of tourists, and you get to see how they come to Chicago and dress,” said Chicago residents Elia and Kaelya.

Big name artists did not disappoint this weekend as Olivia Rodrigo set records with the massive crowd of people that showed up to see her perform on Friday.

On Sunday, fans pulled up in their best outfits for Carpenter, headlining the final day of action.

All of it made for another successful weekend of Lolla with the special atmosphere summertime in Chicago offers.

“It’s a lot of fun all the people, and the food, it’s really exciting. Even just walking around Chicago, it’s a beautiful city,” said Erika and Ryan of the Chicago suburbs.
