COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. ()- More CSRA school bells are ringing for the first time since Summer began.
In Columbia County – there’s a brand-new school some students will be attending.
That school is North Columbia Elementary School.
The old school has been around since 1956, being one of the oldest schools in Columbia County.
It needed a new modern look and Columbia County fulfilled that need within two years.
The new school now has new security, bigger classrooms, new technology and more.
They also added more students to the school.
The principal says although everything is new, traditions will stay the same.
“We still do have our traditions that are timeless and our students that are respectful, responsible and ready to learn at all times. So mixing the tradition with the new is going to be a great time for us at North Columbia,” said Tonya Gambrell.
Staff and students will mark history walking through the new doors this morning.
