FORT STEWART, Ga. — An emergency dispatch call requesting mutual aid at the scene reveals the location of a shooting at Fort Stewart in Georgia.

Base officials said five soldiers were shot in what they called an “active shooter incident.”

The wounded soldiers were treated on-site at first. Mutual aid was requested afterward.

In the recording, the dispatcher asks for mutual aid at Building 8420, “2nd Brigade.”

Officials had previously said it happened in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area.

The building is in the area of Vanguard Road.

Maps show this is near the Dental Clinic 4, the Johnson Gym, the North Troop Medical Center and dining facilities.

The dispatcher says there are possibly five patients and multiple people injured and both of the base’s emergency medical services trucks are on scene.

She says the scene is clear and “everything is secure.”

Officials said the suspect had bene apprehended approximately 40 minutes after the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation and there is no additional information on the suspect.

The soldiers are at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, the hospital told ABC News. They do not have updates on their condition at the time.
