Johnson City Business Investigation Leads to Arrest of 4 for Prostitution Charges

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Four people connected to two Johnson City businesses have been arrested on prostitution-related charges, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

The TBI’s Human Trafficking Unit and the Johnson City Police Department’s Special Victims Unit began investigating Mi Mi’s Foot Massage, 508 Princeton Road, and Aroma Therapy Spa, 111 Broyles Drive, after receiving a complaint about possible human trafficking and other illegal activity.

According to the TBI, the investigation led to the arrest of:

  • Hanmei Zhao, 56 – Impersonation of a Licensed Professional, Massage or Exposure of Erogenous Area, and Prostitution. Bond: $7,000
  • Chunhua Wang, 45 – Impersonation of a Licensed Professional, Massage or Exposure of Erogenous, and Prostitution. Bond: $7,000
  • Tang Yingping, 62 – Impersonation of a Licensed Professional, Massage or Exposure of Erogenous Area, and Prostitution. Bond: $7,000
  • Manmei Wang, 56 – Impersonation of a Licensed Professional and Promoting Prostitution. Bond: $6,000

The TBI said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
