Gina Carano has received a settlement in the wake of her 2021 firing from Disney’s The Mandalorian.
The actress and mixed martial arts veteran, 43, who starred as Cara Dune in the Star Wars franchise spin-off, was canned from the popular series in early 2021 over Instagram posts comparing Jews in the Holocaust to American conservatives.
Lucasfilm told Variety on Thursday, ‘The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies.
The film company continued: ‘Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff.’
Lucasfilm officials said Carano ‘she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect.
‘With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future.’

Carano suffered the full wrath of the woke police of early 2021 – a timeframe marked by the inauguration of President Joe Biden, the aftermath of the 2020 election and January 6 riots; and a societal lean toward political correctness.
Her agency at the time, UTA dropped her when she was cut by Disney.
Carano found a well-funded ally in billionaire Elon Musk, who funded litigation against Lucasfilm last year in a federal court in California.
Carano requested the court force Lucasfilm to compensate her to the tune of punitive damages of $75,000; and orders the company put her back on the show.
Attorneys for Disney sought to get the lawsuit dismissed in April of 2024.
The company cited ‘a constitutional right not to associate its artistic expression with Carano’s speech,’ pointing toward the First Amendment.
The court rejected Disney’s request in July of 2024, leading Carano to declare she was ‘moved to tears’ by the shifting momentum.
Carano fired off an angry tweet in reply, taking the company to task to their outster of her.
‘Disney has confirmed what has been known all along,’ Carano said, ‘they will fire you if you say anything they disagree with, even if they have to MISREPRESENT, MALIGN, and MISCHARACTERIZE you to do it.

She continued: They are now on record letting everyone who works for them know that Disney will take any chance they get to control what you say, what you think or they will attempt to destroy your career.
‘Glad we cleared that up. The First Amendment does not allow Disney to wantonly DISCRIMINATE, which is what they have done in my case and frankly have now admitted they did.
Carano wrapped up in saying, ‘If you ever wanted to know what today’s “Disney values” are, they just told you.’
