CHICAGO (WLS) — The FBI is now investigating a Chicago-based travel agency that the ABC7 I-Team reported on last week.
The FBI says it believes “FlyGirl World Travel” has defrauded its customers by collecting payment, canceling their reservations and not refunding their money.

The I-Team heard from people across the U.S. who said the owner of the company, Laticha Douglas, took money for vacations but never made reservations.
In a letter to customers last month, the travel agent said her business had closed, adding that she made bad business choices, but did not set out to scam them.

The I-Team reached out to Douglas multiple times, but never heard back.
The FBI is now asking any victims who believe they’ve lost money dealing with the travel agent, or if they’ve been victimized by any travel or internet scam, to come forward.
