We’re not even done with the full Season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday, but we’re still itching for more horror, more deadpan line deliveries, and much more woe. But can we look forward to seeing Wednesday back in action at Nevermore Academy after Season 2 Part 2 releases? Read on to find out.

Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) begins Season 2 Part 1 in her usual state of displeasure: she hates the attention she gets as Nevermore’s hero, and must deal with her brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) and her mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) intruding on her space at school. She’s also having trouble with her psychic powers — either she gets no visions at all, or she gets them with a side of black tears. Suddenly, some crow-related deaths spring up around Jericho, and when she gets a vision of Enid’s (Emma Myers) murder, she must unmask the Avian killer before it’s too late.

Season 2 Part 2 is not out yet, so we don’t know how this season is going to end. But that doesn’t stop us from wanting a third season. Will it happen, Netflix? Here’s everything we know about Wednesday Season 3.

Will There Be A Season 3 Of Wednesday?

Yes! Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, Netflix announced that Wednesday has been renewed for Season 3. The news isn’t exactly surprising; the first season of the show is still the most viewed English-language Netflix series of all time. And you know what they say — death comes in threes.

In an interview with Tudum, Wednesday co-creator Alfred Gough had this to say on the news: “[Co-creator and co-showrunner] Miles [Millar] and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.”

When Will Wednesday Season 3 Come Out?

We have no idea, especially since Season 2 Part 2 isn’t even out until Sept. 3. We know it’s woeful to wait, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all things Wednesday.

What Will Wednesday Season 3 Be About?

Much like Season 2, Season 3 promises to keep raising the stakes for the series. “Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” Gough states. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.”  Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”

As for specific plot details, Millar and Gough are keeping their lips sealed for now. Come on, can’t they tell us anything? “Sure,” says Millar, “but then I’d have to bury you in a shallow grave.”

Watch Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 now on Netflix.
